My Story
Hello. My name is Shari Jones. I am a wife & mom to 2 daughters. I have been a Scentsy consultant for 11 years. Id like to tell you why I love Scentsy.
I LOVE ANIMALS!!!
All animals. Dogs cats horses pigs cows birds monkeys giraffs. You name it I love it. As a kid I had the normal cats dogs and a fish or 2. When I became an adult I started acquiring different animals. I have had rats hamsters frogs fish insects hermit crabs a rabbit a guinea pig birds and of course cats & dogs. I always worried that my house (yes they all lived in the house) smelled like a zoo. I would burn scented candles pretty much all the time.
When my husband and I bought our house in 2008 we noticed as we were packing up our belongings in our rental all the black soot marks around the pictures on the wall. We did not like that one bit and I worried about the toxins that were being emitted into our home & in the lungs of our children & pets. My husband made me promise to not use candles in our new house. So I started using other frangrance products everything from tealight burners with oil in them (yes I know the promise not to use candles but they were little candles so they didnt count...right?) to the plug in things with oils in them. The oil in the tea light burners was always getting too hot splattering all over everything. My cats would get up on the counters or table at night knocking them over invariably get it all over their feet then try to lick it off. It says right on the bottle that it is toxic & not to ingest.
That wasnt going to work. I bought the wax tarts at discount craft decor stores. They were ok but the scent only lasted a day or so & I would have to add more wax.
I had met a lady on Facebook classifieds who was a consultant. We became friends and one day when I was at her house she told me about Scentsy. I shut her down pretty quickly by telling her I had tried everything on the market & didn't think this Scentsy stuff would be any better. She didnt push it further but she did invite me to her open house party she was having. I only went to be polite. I told my husband I would only order something small to be nice. When I got there it was pretty relaxed she was having a Christmas in July sale so there was Christmas music playing & a Christmas tree decorated with Scent Circles. We chatted with each other & those coming in. I bought a nightlight & 3 bars.
That evening when I got home I plugged in the warmer & popped in a cube of Blueberry Cheesecake. Within minutes the whole house smelled delicious!! I could smell it all the way to my bedroom & into the master bath. Now granted I do have a small home (less than 1200sq ft) but I was impressed. No candle ever traveled like this one little cube did. When my husband got home he remarked on how good the house smelled and asked if I was baking. I told him it was the Scentsy that I bought. He was impressed but disappointed there were no goodies to eat!
Over the next few days I tried the other scents that I bought and became even more impressed with the quality of the scents. I contacted my friend to let her know that I loved it wanted to buy more. She directed me to her website so I could browse all the scents other products.
I went on her website read her story & browsed all the products. I read up on Scentsy & read how it is non toxic made with food grade parrafin so it is completely ediable. I was sold. I dedided I wanted to join if only to support my habit (yes after just a few days I was a Scentsy addict). I talked it over with my husband and he gave me the go ahead. I texted my friend to tell her I wanted to join in August. She was at the Scentsy Reunion in Las Vegas & said she would get me started when she got back home. Over the next few days I got even more excited & couldnt wait to join.. I got on my friends website joined her team.
